Knowle & Dorridge were crowned as BDPCL champions for the third time at the mid-innings interval of their round 22 visit to Kenilworth Wardens.

By this point Ollie Currill's team had clinched the three batting bonus points which took them out of the reach of 2025 and 2024 winners Smethwick.

For the Station Road club clinching the crown against already-relegated Wardens provided a pleasing symmetry since the Glasshouse Park outfit denied them the title with a last-day win in Solihull in 2023.

But three years on there were no slip-ups at the final hurdle for a K&D side who went on to complete a comfortable 35-run DLS win over their hosts and therefore finish 17 points clear at the summit.

Openers Alex Phillips (79) and George Maddy (37) added 71 for K&D and with former Worcestershire batter Neil Pinner adding 47 the visitors finished just shy of a full hand of batting points at 246/9.

Bromsgrove alumni Alex Wilkinson claimed 4-48 for the hosts who had reached 184/7 from 46.1 overs when rain stopped play. Opener Oli Dandy capped off a fine season by finishing with an unbeaten 116-ball 89 while Wilkinson made 38. 

The pacy Tom Davis who claimed 4-23 edged past Smethwick's Deepak Khatri and Sagar Udeshi plus Shrewsbury's Dustin Melton to finish as Division One's leading wicket-taker with 42.

By claiming 14 wins across both formats Currill's team are two clear of runners-up Smethwick whose five-wicket home win over Barnt Green in turn left them 20 points ahead of third-placed Halesowen.

Smethwick's triumph was once again inspired by a stunning innings from Division One's leading scorer Viken Kedaria who finished 2026 with 1164 runs.

Kedariya smashed 139 off 115 balls including three sixes and 17 boundaries, and with Khatri plus Bilal Shafayat offering useful support Smethwick cruised past Barnt Green's 254/9 with 3.2 overs remaining. Opener Ben Chapman-Lilley top-scored for the visitors with 59.

After finishing behind only champions Smethwick in 2024 and 2025 Halesowen completed another consistent season by finishing third on the back of a 62-run home win over Black Country rivals Himley.

Wes Griffiths' team posted 292/8 as opener Joe Porter capped a fine first BDPCL campaign with 105 while Fin Goodman added a quickfire 67.

Ollie Walker and Dinuk De Silva took three wickets apiece for the visitors and Walker also impressed with the bat, scoring 86 off 70 balls, but his side were dismissed for 230 with Arun Kalsi finishing with 4-36.

Fourth-placed Ombersley were convincing four-wicket winners at Shrewsbury who they dismissed for 161.

Former Bridgnorth batter Seb Scott (53) and skipper Lewis Evans (52) were the key run-makers for the hosts while Ishaan Arora took 4-35. In reply Seth Essenhigh made an unbeaten 107 as the visitors sped to 163/6 in the 28th over.

Umpires David Gower and Andy Hicks enjoyed a guard of honour from both sides at the end of Barnards Green's emphatic 270-run win over Moseley. 

After 19 years of service to the league retirement-bound Gower raced against time to recover from knee surgery and take charge for a final time while Hicks completed an outstanding first 25 years on the league's umpires' panel.

The Worcestershire side had a field day with the bat, piling up 381/4 through Jevan Kher (111), Oliver Halion (102) and Joseph Harrison (99). A fine spell of bowling from Phil Harris who took 6-13 including the rare feat of 'four-in-four' then saw relegated Moseley off for 111.

The mid-table clash between visitors Harborne and Dorridge ended with the Birmingham side clinching a five-wicket win. Acting captain Daniyal Khan joined Kedaria in the 1000-run club by making an unbeaten 97-ball 109 for Dorridge who were bowled out for 253.

Eddie Miller claimed a frugal 2-23 for Harborne and the Warwickshire youth prospect went on to score a run-a-ball 80 from the top of the order which paved the way for Matt James and Tejas Wagle to ease Andy Sutton's team over the line in the 41st over.

Division Two

Already-relegated basement club Worfield finished their first stint in the BDPCL on a high with a resounding 62-run victory over promoted runners-up Berkswell.

Aman Hussain led the way for the hosts with 101 off 95 deliveries, his fifth-wicket partnership with Arthur Smallman (48) worth 115.

Chasing 303/7 Berkswell were bowled out for 241 by a home attack which was well led by Joe Arnold who picked up 4-49. Skipper Chris Whittock top-scored for the visitors with 65.

Champions Attock rounded off their season by claiming a remarkable 16th win of the year by a narrow margin at Wolverhampton.

Rizwan Khan (43) took his seasonal tally to an incredible 1309 runs and with Usama Khan adding a patient 73 the visitors posted 241 all out. Skipper Joe Stanley’s 3-32 was the pick of the home bowling.

Set a revised target of 229 from 42 overs, Wolves were going well at 185/5 from 33 overs thanks to Sri Lankan pro Rishin Upamal, who completed 1000 runs for the year on his way to 101.

However, a late collapse saw the hosts slip to 222 all out and a six-run reverse with 15 deliveries unused.

An excellent ton from Hasan Ahmed helped Old Hill to a convincing seven-wicket home win over already-relegated Kidderminster for whom skipper Liam Weston finished as the league's top wicket-taker with 52 scalps.

Ahmed hit 134 off just 103 balls while adding 153 for the first wicket with Hamza Khan (69). Sayf Hosein then chipped in with a useful 46 as the Black Country side reached their 276-run target with 14 overs unused.

Earlier, an unbeaten 55 from Nathan Jukes plus a useful 76-run partnership between Luke Stynes (45) and Ali Latif (43no) had taken Kiddy to 275/5.

Leamington clinched third place with a five-wicket victory over Shifnal achieved with just six balls to spare in an entertaining contest at Arlington Avenue.

A 166-run fourth wicket partnership between Ben Lees (88) and skipper Charlie Home (77) helped Shifnal to 279/9, leg-spinner Jason Jakeman taking four wickets.

But a 155-run partnership between Yash Gupta (116) and captain Jonathan Wigley (64) then inspired the Warwickshire side to 281-5 with an over in hand.

West Bromwich Dartmouth recovered from 147/7 to post 277/7 at Stourbridge thanks to an outstanding unbroken 130-run partnership between former Warwickshire all-rounder Ateeq Javid (126no) and skipper Danny Cox (52no).

JS Johal responded with 101 for the hosts but with Tim Maxfield claiming 3-34 Stourbridge were bowled out for 255 in the 46th over to finish 22 runs shy of their target.

Tamworth finished fourth after beating Staffordshire rivals Milford Hall by four wickets in Hopwas.

Milford openers Jordan Bulpitt (52) and Dominic Afford (56) put on 106 but few others made much batting headway as the visitors closed on 209/8 from their 50 overs.

And this proved well within the compass of a home side for whom an unbeaten 59 from Alex Cappelluti and a rapid 44 off 24 balls from Jacob Flower brought victory in just 38.1 overs.
